You will receive a weekly (approximately) electronic newsletter on
the status of the effort to improve the advanced placement
opportunities at Henry M. Jackson High School and the Everett School
District.
You may be asked for assistance in supporting programs and events
but all contributions are voluntary. There are no fees or dues.
Your email address information will be used ONLY by the AP/IB
Boosters team for communications regarding AP/IB Boosters and will not
be distributed to any other party for any use.
Benefits and Services to Members and the School Community
Provide a forum to learn about the 2 top high school
curricula.
Assist teachers, students, and parents with academic
projects.
Assist teachers with creating and maintaining their on-line
curriculum documents.
Assist with parent involvement in the classroom
including: lab setup, sponsoring study groups, purchasing national
AP Exam review materials.
Arrange for scientists, engineers, and other professionals
to visit the classroom.
Assist with providing the opportunity for students to attend
scholarly events such as UW World Languages Day and UW Math Day.
Experienced parents will share their knowledge and opinions
about specific classes and instructors to help parents new to the
high school in selecting appropriate classes for their children.
Coordinate carpooling for families seeking an International
Baccalaureate education for their children at one of the nearby IB
schools: Inglemoor HS, Edmonds Woodway HS, Interlake HS, Mariner HS
(2005).
Coordinate carpooling to summer programs such as UW Summer
Stretch.
